Improve Your Relationships & Quality of Life
Find Mental Peace & Balance

Life is tough. Sometimes we hit barriers that make us feel stuck. Other times, we feel like we are spinning out of control. Our strength and spirits weaken, and we experience suffering.
We live in a world that is so “connected” yet so lonely. This leads us far from allowing ourselves to be truly known and vulnerable.
That’s why our priority is giving you the ability to feel heard.
Using holistic therapy techniques, we teach you tools to develop a more positive and adaptive way of thinking, which can lead to improved emotional well-being and behavior.

Mayra is a wonderful therapist who has created a remarkable team of counselors. She has many years of experience particularly in the Eating disorder field. I would highly recommend Vitality Life counseling for those struggling with mental health issues.

Mayra is compassionate, kind and caring. I never feel like I’m burdening her and she does what I need the most: listens and understands. I feel like I’ve made huge strides with my mental health and I’m handling things better. Plus, I find our sessions really cathartic. If you want someone to actually hear you, go to Mayra. She’s fantastic at what she does.

Therapy with Myra has helped me greatly so far. She is easy to talk to and confide in. She allows me to talk my way into solutions by guiding the conversations. I would recommend Vitality to anyone. Therapy has been comfortable and beneficial for me.

The top benefits of Therapy are that a patient/person may feel more in control of their reactions, and improve relationships, and quality of life using the techniques/skills learned in therapy.
Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the courage to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. In our work together, I’ll help you explore and identify your strengths and how to implement them to reduce the influence of the problems you are facing.
The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally. A mental health professional can help you approach your situation in a new way– teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself. Furthermore, counseling is completely confidential. You won’t have to worry about others “knowing my business.” Lastly, if your situation provokes a great deal of negative emotion, and you’ve been confiding in a friend or family member, there is the risk that once you are feeling better you could start avoiding that person so you aren’t reminded of this difficult time in your life.
The first appointment is called an intake where we will gather information about the patient, their needs, and personal history. After the first session, the frequency of therapy is determined and then the therapy process begins.
Because each person has different issues and goals for counseling, it will be different depending on the individual. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs.
Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.
I am so glad you are dedicated to getting the most out of your sessions. Your active participation and dedication will be crucial to your success.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is used in therapy to help a patient recognize/identify the thoughts and feelings that are behind their behaviors. CBT is used to help them recognize and change their thoughts, which then improves their feelings and behaviors. CBT teaches tools on how to manage thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to treat anxiety, OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), phobias, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), trauma, depression, anger, and eating disorders.
Medication can be effective but it alone cannot solve all issues. Sometimes medication is needed in conjunction with counseling. Our work together is designed to explore and unpack the problems you are experiencing and expand on your strengths that can help you accomplish your personal goals.
We are by appointment only, please give us a call or fill out the request an appointment form on the page and we will be in contact with you! In your form please briefly explain your need for therapy.
We have appointments available Sunday - Friday either in-person or telehealth.
We are in-network with the main insurance companies BCBS, UHC, UMR, Optum, Tricare, Humana, and Aetna.
